Studio Momentum Intensive

GET weekly accountability for your studio work.

Feeling lost in your creative practice? Need some accountability, feedback, and support from an intimate community of peers? We got you covered.

Next session starts week of April 20th:

If you’ve been circling your studio, half-working, half-avoiding…
If your ideas feel stuck in your head instead of turning into finished work…
If you know you need structure, feedback, and weekly accountability so you develop the work and get it out there…

This group is for you.

The Studio Momentum program is a 3-month, small-group, studio accountability intensive designed to help you make a body of work and go deeper in your practice.

You will set a goal. You will meet with a group of 4 artists (+ coach) every week and get accountability on that goal. You will get dedicated feedback on your work and process. You’ll leave with a new body of work and real forward momentum.

The Details:

  • Next session:
Starts the week of April 20th

  • Meeting times (two options):

    • (group 1)  Wednesdays 11-12pm Central
      OR

    • (group 2) Tuesdays 6:30-7:30pm Central.

  • Group Size: 4 people per group

How it works:

  • You set a goal for your work.

  • You check in every week on that goal.

  • First half of the weekly call - everyone checks in on their goals.

  • Second half of the call - one person gets a dedicated 30 minute feedback session on their work.

  • You will get (2) 30 minute feedback sessions total over 3 months (12 sessions).

In addition to providing a ready made community of interesting and invigorating artists, Christine’s coaching workshops bring a structure to what is normally a lonely and entirely self-motivated activity.

As much as we might all hate the thought of homework, the gentle pressure of goal-making and meeting produces results—you move forward in your artistic practice. Plus, it’s fun. “

- Denise B.

The goal setting, accountability and support were critical to my creative development this year. I highly recommend A Mighty Practice to anyone looking to prioritize their creative work.

- Lesley A.

In 2020, I created a Mighty Practice because I saw so many artists facing the same challenges:

Artists who want to develop their voices, but are overcome with self-doubt.
Artists who want to engage in thoughtful discussion about making things, but lack community.
Artists who want their creative work to be more central to their lives, but can’t manage to find the time or energy for it.

But most importantly, I saw artists who wanted to take their creative work seriously, to actualize their ideas, and going back to “art school” wasn’t realistic.

Since then, I’ve coached hundreds of creatives through the ups and downs of their practices. I’ve helped artists create new work after years of feeling stuck, quit their jobs to start creative careers, and secure big opportunities like residencies and grants.
